I am passionate about helping young people reach their full potential and especially enjoy using sport as a tool to achieve this. I draw on over 16 years of international sporting and coaching experience and have had previous employment as a Royal Marines Commando, Military Physical Training Instructor, Personal Trainer, Fitness Tutor and competed in 4 x Elite World Championships. I am currently completing my master’s degree in Sports Science and have previously studied Health Science at Auckland University of Technology, which puts me in a unique position to share my experience of high performance sport in a holistic and personable way to a diverse range of young people from all backgrounds and abilities.
“I have worked at Park View School for almost 8 years during which time it has undergone an amazing transformation into a vibrant, successful and progressive school. I started teaching 12 years ago in a mainstream secondary school and soon realised my passion lay in SEMH where we have the opportunity to support and develop some truly unique and inspiring young men and women. I have taught a broad range of subjects including humanities, ICT and Maths. During my time here I have gone from Head of Maths, Deputy Head and now Head Teacher. I am very proud of the school we have built over the last few years and believe passionately in the ethos “Together we Grow Stronger”.
