“I have worked at Park View School for almost 8 years during which time it has undergone an amazing transformation into a vibrant, successful and progressive school. I started teaching 12 years ago in a mainstream secondary school and soon realised my passion lay in SEMH where we have the opportunity to support and develop some truly unique and inspiring young men and women. I have taught a broad range of subjects including humanities, ICT and Maths. During my time here I have gone from Head of Maths, Deputy Head and now Head Teacher. I am very proud of the school we have built over the last few years and believe passionately in the ethos “Together we Grow Stronger”.
I am the Assistant Head teacher with responsibility for Pastoral and The Operational Administration for the school day. I am also the PE Coordinator. I came into teaching in my late thirty’s, I have a background from the Royal Marines and Operational Management Roles. I have worked in the school since April 2003 as the PE-Co-ordinator until April 2013 when I moved to my current post. I am the Chairperson of the “Wanderers Sports Association”, we are a group of around 25 Special Schools around the North East who arrange inter school sporting events throughout the school year.
My name is Emma Price; I am Lead Practitioner at Parkview and have worked here for the past year. As well as this role I also teach maths and for the first time this year Spanish. I have worked in several SEBD schools in the North East and love the job I do!
I have almost 25 years working knowledge of the administrative / finance environment, including 14 years in education. I worked in the primary sector for 8 years, moving to a very specialist further education college for one of the largest charities in the North East, before coming to Park View School in 2014. I studied a very specific BA (Hons) Course specially written for School Business Management at Manchester University, and was one of the first Business Managers to achieve this qualification. I enjoy the challenge of specialist education and work hard to support our students. I believe in leading by example and will always promote Park View staff and students to the best of my ability.
My name is Lyndsay Robinson and I am the lead teacher for Art at Park View School. Having taught in SEMH schools for 15 years I joined the Park View team in June 2016. I am Mr Jones, I have been a teacher for 15 years. This is my second year at Park View School and I am a Design & Technology specialist.
Hi, I am Mr. Addison and have been working at Park View School since January. I am a Science specialist and love the practical side of the subject, especially when we get to work with weird and wonderful chemical reactions in class.
For 9 years I have been Leader of Learning for English, teaching KS3 and GCSE English Language and Literature. My aim is to excite, enthuse and engage all students in their study of English and Literature, to widen their experience of a variety of reading and writing and equip them with the skills to become competent communicators.
